The Scarab 30’s hull laminate is wet out in premium vinylester resin, which produces a stronger, more resilient structure than the general purposes resins used by many builders––it’s also essentially impervious to osmotic blistering. Foam-cored stringers stiffen and strengthen the bottom and provide a foundation for the deck/cockpit liner above.
Hull Design
The Scarab 30 Tournament Center Console has a moderate beam-to-length ratio, which is partly responsible for––and essential to––its superb offshore ride and performance. The bottom has a sharp entry that warps to 23° of deadrise at the transom. Composite construction keeps the weight down, which increases speed, while the hull shape delivers an excellent ride.

Cockpit
Starting the tour back aft, a transom door leading from the swimplatform makes boarding easy. The cockpit is cleanly laid out and well equipped for serious fishing.
